This is year 5 with AESG
What is your professional/academic background?
I have 15 years of experience working on avionics/electronics fabricating, troubleshooting, maintaining, etc. I hold an Associate of Applied Science (AAS), Avionics Systems Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology.
What is your role with AESG?
I am a Senior Tech/Assistant to Management and provide Customer Tech Support.
What about your background helps you in your current position?
I have experience working in many reactive and mid to high-tempo operations. I have a wide range of experience with people and years of maintenance on older technology, which helps with troubleshooting legacy equipment.
What is your favorite robot to work on?
It’s hard to pick one because they all have their pros and cons, but I think my favorite to rebuild is probably the DBM and Cybeq 6100.
What would you like to learn more about?
There is nothing I don’t want to learn more about – whatever my brain can absorb.
What robot would you like to see AESG work on?
I can’t pick one – I wish we could service every robot in the industry.
Where do you see yourself in the next two to five years?
I’d like to have the knowledge, skills, and aptitude that Frank has within the next five years to continue imparting his insane knowledge, experience, and desire to help others long after he retires.
What is the most exciting thing you have learned while at AESG?
The semiconductor process and industry are really complex and vast; fascinating, so learning more about the industry is wild. You learn something new every day, and there’s really never a dull moment.
How would you describe AESG’s actions if you met someone at a trade show or conference?
In the simplest terms, when it comes to your smartphone, computer airpods, or even something as small as an LED – we keep the robots that are at the beginning of the process that produce the aforementioned technology running.
